CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas men's and women's track & field teams travel to Birmingham, Alabama, for the season opener at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Friday. Last year at this meet, both the men's and women's teams placed third.
 
Johnson Adegbite, Calvin Allen, Luke Anthony, Jesse Applewhite, Jordan Atkins, Malik Beasley, Zac Bitton, Johnathan Blair, Thomas Cain, Luis Colon, Timon Dresselhaus, Logan Hall, Alex Hanson, Niklas Iking, Zachary Jewell, Timquorian Johnson, Tanner Manasco, Logan Murray, Max Nores, Aidan Patton, Walter Reed, Tate Whaley, Bruce White, and Ryan Yarde will represent the men in Birmingham. Last season, Jewell claimed a victory in the 60-meters and looks to repeat this season.
 
On the women's side, Aysha Anderson, Jordan Brock, Taylor Coleman, Ajah Criner, Demicya Griffin, Ayana Harris, Lyndsey Hover, Z'Kiah Kuykendall, Megan Lee, Jennifer Peake, La Laylah Pleasant, Tyler Rose, Kayla Scott, Deborah Shaw, Sierra Temple, and Laterrica Thomas will compete for the Bears.
 
The meet is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. start with the prelims of the women's 60-meter hurdles. Field events will begin with the men's weight throw at 9 a.m.
