CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas track and field teams are back on the track for the John McDonnell Invitational on Friday in Fayetteville. Field events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women's discus, while running events are set for 1:30 p.m., starting with the men's 5000-meter run.
The Bears are coming off an impressive weekend of competition at the Little Rock Invitational and Bryan Clay Invitational.
At the Little Rock Invitational, the men's and women's squads each earned decisive victories, with the men's team winning by 37 points and the women by 60.
Over the course of the two-day meet at the Little Rock Invitational, the Bears racked up 63 top five placements, including 10 golds.
Jaden Schneeberger highlighted the meet for Central Arkansas, breaking a school record on his way to a 1
st place finish in the shot put. Schneeberger's 18.13-meter (51-05.75) throw was also good for a new facility record.
Central Arkansas also sent 10 distance competitors to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.
