CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas cross country teams are back on the course again in Columbia, Missouri, competing in the Gans Creek Classic on Friday. The men will run an 8k starting at 8:15 a.m., with the women running a 6k race at 10:30 a.m.
Last time out, the Bears hosted the UCA Bear Invitational in August, taking first place in both men's and women's races. The women's team dominated, sweeping the top five finishes and totaling just 15 points.
Madeline Hill led the way, finishing the three-mile race in 16:34.68.
The men's team took the top finish, taking counting finishes of first (
Jack Dingman), second (
Trae Baker), fourth (
Mason Bickle), sixth (
Logan Dingman) and seventh (
Samuel Morales).
The course record for the 8k at Gans Creek is 23:07.6, set in 2024, while the 6k record is 19:50.1, also set in 2024.
