JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Central Arkansas cross country teams ran in the ASUN Championship meet on Friday with both the women and men's teams placing fifth. 
 
Madeline Hill led the women's side with a personal best time of 17:00.8, coming in 11
th place and earning a Second Team All-ASUN selection. 
Arizona Blankenship finished her 5k in 17:26.1, good for 19
th place and a Third Team All-ASUN selection. 
Abby Machesky finished in 29
th place with a personal best time of 17:40.3. 
Sequoya Prentice crossed the finish line in 38
th place with a time of 17:57.4. 
Lydia Butler and 
Liz Browning finished their freshmen ASUN Championship races at 18:14.4 and 18:15.6 to earn 40
th and 42
nd place. 
Alexis Frick crossed the finish line at 18:32.6 followed by 
Kayli Myers at 18:44.2. 
Brooklyn Nicholson finished her run at 19:34.1. 
 
Bear's head coach, 
Josey Weaver thought the race went well for the women's team today. 
 
"We ran the best race of our season today. For that to happen at the Conference Championship is very rewarding for our young team. I am very happy for Madeline [Hill] and Arizona [Blankenship] for being named to the All-Conference team. With eight of our ten team members returning next year the future looks bright."
 
For the men, who improved on last season's sixth place finish, 
Jack Dingman led the Bears with a 26
th place finish and a time of 24:14.3. 
Mason Bickle was close behind, finishing in 31
st place with a personal best time of 24:43.2. 
Trae Baker crossed the finish line at 24:59.2, finishing 40
th, followed by 
Ky Bickford who finished 44
thwith a personal best time of 25:03.6. 
Logan Dingman also set a new personal best, finishing his 8k in 25:10.4, placing 48
th. 
Samuel Morales finished his run at 25:31.9. 
Dane Janowski crossed the finish line at 26:18.9, followed by 
Beau Melancon who set a personal best with a time of 26.28.2, and William Hill with a personal best time of 26:28.7. 
Hayden Boyett also set a new personal best, coming in at 29:01.2. 
 
"Just like our women," Weaver said, "our men also ran their best race of the season today. I'm really proud of how strong we finished the last two miles of this race. This was a jump up from a year ago after losing some of our best guys. Next for us will be the South Central Championships and we will look to cap our season on a high note."
 
The NCAA South Central Championships will be held on Friday, November 14
th in Fayetteville, Ark.
