CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas track and field teams picked up a trio of weekly awards for the first week of indoor season, the conference announced Wednesday. In addition to a couple of regular names in Aidan Patton and Raghan Allen winning their respective awards, freshman Jeremiah Boudreaux earned Freshman of the Week for his efforts at the Arkansas Invitational.
 
Patton secured Field Athlete of the Week after a terrific showing in Fayetteville, starting the season well in the throws. He took home second in the weight throw with a distance of 20.28m, then secured some Central Arkansas history with the shot put. Placing third in the event, his 16.11m throw broke the program record, setting a new high mark in the first week of the season.
 
Allen claimed the Women's Track Athlete of the Week after a blazing first meet. She set a pair of personal bests in her respective events, taking home fifth in the 60m with a new personal-record of 7.48 seconds. She also set a new mark in the 200m, placing fourth with a time of 24.23 seconds. Allen continues to take strides as just a sophomore, finishing as the highest non-Razorback in the 200m.
 
Boudreaux got off to a solid start to open his Bear career. In his first 200m race of his college indoor season, he placed seventh with a time of 21.63 seconds, finishing first among the Bears in the heat. He also competed in the 60m hurdles, running a solid 8.17 seconds, placing seventh in his qualifying heat.
 
The Bears are back in action at the end of the month, competing at the Washburn Open and Multi in Topeka, Kansas.
