CONWAY, Ark. – For the third time this season, the Atlantic Sun Conference has announced that two Central Arkansas athletes have been named track and field Performers of the Week.
Symone Quiles was named ASUN Women's Track Performer of the Week, and
Zoe Williams was named Women's Freshman Performer of the Week.
Quiles earned her Performer of the Week honors after running in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles events at the John McDonnell Invitational. Quiles finished 7th in the 400-meter hurdles race, breaking the Central Arkansas school record, and catapulting her to 3rd on the ASUN leaderboard with a time of 1:01.07. In the 100-meter hurdles, Quiles finished 11th, running a 14.25, coming in at 6
th on the ASUN leaderboard.
Williams was honored after finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles race at the John McDonnell Invitational. Williams' time of 13.50 broke her own record in the event and improved her position at the top of the ASUN leaderboard in the event.
Central Arkansas will make its last stop of the regular season this weekend in Nashville, Tenn. at the Music City Challenge.
