Both Men's and Women's Teams Earn First in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Trevecca Nazarene University for the Micheal Pretorius Invitational.

For the women's team, Central Arkansas earned first place with a score of 31 points. The men's team earned first with a score of 38. The Bears set 11 personal records and earned four top-10 finishes.

Women's Results
Madeline Hill led the women's team in second place with a time of 17:38.0 in the 5K race. Sara Steimel placed seventh with a time of 17:47.6, Anna Bommes finished 12th with a 18:45.9, and Ali Nachtigal finished 13th with a time of 18:49.8. Close behind in 14th, Felisa Saheib had a time of 18:49.9 and Kayleigh Wagnon finished 15th with a 19:00.4. In another close knit pack, Alexis Frick finished 18th with a time of 19:12.6, Sequoya Prentice finished 19th with a 19:17.1, and Jewel Baer had a time of 19:19.2 to finish 20th. Emma Selph finished 30th out of 112 runners with a time of 19:36.3.
 
Men's Results
Jack Dingman led the men's team with a time of 25:10.5 to place second in the 8K race. Pete Johnson placed fourth with a time of 25:19.3, Gavin Frick finished 11th with a time of 25:41.2, and Thomas Cain finished 12th with a time of 25:42.1. In a close duo, Carlos Hernandez finished 26th with a time of 26:36.4 and Ky Bickford finished 27th with a time of 26:40.2. Lucas Tauch led a pack of Bears with a time of 27:10.2 to finish 34th, Bresner Austin finished 38th with a 27:18.0, and Beau Melancon finished 40th with a time of 27:18.5. Johnny Cordero finished 52nd with a time of 28:18.7 out of 86 athletes.
