CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas cross country teams are in Fayetteville, Ark. For Friday's NCAA South Central Regional Championship races. The women's 6k race will be held first at 9 a.m., with the men's 10k race to follow at 10.
Last time out in the ASUN Championships, Madeline Hill set a new personal best in the 5k race with a time of 11th place, good for a Second Team All-ASUN selection and Arizona Blankenship took 19th place with a time of 17:26.1, earning herself a Third Team All-ASUN selection. As a team, the women finished fifth in the conference.
On the men's side, the Bears were led by Jack Dingman, who finished in 26th with a time of 24:14.3. Mason Bickle took 31st with a personal best time of 24:43.2, followed by Trae Baker who finished 40th with a time of 24:59.2. The men also finished fifth in the conference.
The Bears are looking to continue the momentum on Friday from what head coach Josey Weaver said was each team's best race of the season.
