JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to Hodges Stadium to compete in the ASUN Conference Championships. After day one of competition, the Men's team rests in fourth place and the women's team is in seventh.
 
Aidan Patton broke the UCA school record in the men's Hammer Throw with a personal record throw of 55.64m (182-6.0).
 
On Friday, Decathlon events will start at 10:30 a.m. Field events will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the women's Discus and the running events start at 4:30 p.m. with the women's 400m trials.
 
On Saturday, the meet will start off with the men's Discus at 3:00 p.m. and the running events will start at 4:45 p.m. with the women's 4x100 relay.

Field Events
In the women's Hammer Throw, Kiara Williams placed ninth with a personal record throw of 45.62m (149-8.0). Miranda Nichols was close behind in tenth with a personal record throw of 42.03m (133-8.0).
In the women's Javelin Throw, Allyson Sellers finished 12^th with a throw 29.77m (97-8.0).
In the men's Hammer Throw, Aidan Patton placed fifth with a personal record throw of 55.64m (182-6.0).
In the men's Pole Vault, Parker Benefield placed fifth with a jump of 4.58m (15-0.25).
In the women's High Jump, Natalie Louw placed fifth with a jump of 1.63m (5-4.25).
 
Track Events
With qualifying time in the women's 400m hurdles prelims, Taylor Conway placed third with a personal record time of 1:00.29. Kayla Scott was close behind in fifth with a personal record time of 1:04.18.
With a qualifying time in the men's 400m hurdles prelims, Tyrone Luckett placed eighth with a personal record time of 55.08.
In the women's 200m dash prelims, Kamaria Russell finished 10^th with a time of 24.40. Ciara Tucker finished 11^th with a personal record time of 24.43 and Indiyah Aldridge finished 26^th with a personal record time of 26.18.
With qualifying times in the men's 200m dash prelims, Wesley Suen placed third with a time of 21.24. TyJuan Huffman placed eighth with a time of 21.59.
In the women's 1500m prelims, Emma Selph finished 11^th to qualify with a personal record time of 4:36.85. Anna Bommes finished 17^th with a time of 4:47.47.
In the men's 1500m prelims, Hunter Henderson finished 18^th with a time of 4:02.28. Bresner Austin was close behind in 19^th with a time of 4:02.84.
In the men's 10,000m run, Julian Haessner placed ninth with a time of 31:01.79. Philipp Haessner placed tenth with a time of 31:09.93 and Parker Jackson finished 17^th with a time of 33:26.69.
