COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Texas A&M to compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational this morning. The men's team was led by Julian Haessner and the women's team was led by Sara Steimel. Out of 40 teams, the men's team placed 8^th. The women's team placed 23^rd out of 38 teams.

Julian Haessner and Philipp Haessner both broke the UCA school record for the men's 8K today. The new record is held by Julian Haessner with a 23:59.2 time.

Women's Results
Out of 326 runners in the 6K race, Sara Steimel finished 54^th with a time of 21:51.6. Anna Bommes finished 126^th with a personal record time of 22:46.3, Ali Nachtigal finished 166^th with a personal record time of 23:22.0, and Felisa Saheib finished 176^th with a 23:28.9.
Emma Selph finished 216^th with a time of 24:04.7, Jewel Baer finished 222^nd with a personal record time of 24:12.8, and placing 551^st, Kennedy Timmerman had a time of 24.42.3.
 
Men's Results
Out of 360 runners in the 8K race, Julian Haessner placed 8^th with a personal record time of 23:59.2. Philipp Haessner finished 19^th with a personal record time of 24:12.7 and Jared Touart finished 49^th with a personal record time of 24:49.2.
Finishing 101^st, Parker Jackson had a personal record time of 25:18.3, Thomas Cain finished 202^nd with a time of 26:25.8, and Bresner Austin finished 205^th with a personal record time of 26:27.1. Johnny Cordero finished 265^th with a time of 27:16.0 and Beau Melancon finished 288^th with a time of 27:41.4.
