Bears Break 5 School Records at Woo Pig Classic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears men's and women's Track and Field teams traveled to Fayetteville today for the Woo Pig Classic. 

The Bears broke many broken school records. Tyler Rose broke the school record for the women's 300M with a 39.79. Jaiden Ventour broke the school record for the men's 300M with a 34.06. Tristan Lavan broke the school record for the men's 600M with a 1:19.31. Jaron Hamilton broke the school record for the men's 1-mile race with a 4:11.28. The women's 4x400M team of Rhode, Coleman, Rose, and Sanders.
 
Track Events
Jaron Hamilton took second in the men's 1-mile run with a time of 4:11.28, with Simon Schneider placing 10th with a 4:36.12.

Sarah Grace Meek finished 10th in the women's 1-mile race with a time of 5:50.02.

Jordan Atkins took second in the men's 60 M Hurdles with a time of 8.13. Sticking together, Timon Dresselhaus finished 10th with an 8.59, Tyrone Luckett finished 11th with an 8.63, and Preston Barker finished 12th with an 8.63.

Ayana Harris finished 6th in the women's 60 M Hurdles with an 8.90. Kayla Scott finished 8th with a 9.23, Symone Quiles finished 10th with a 9.29, and Natalie Louw finished 12th with a 9.62.

Wesley Suen placed 15th in the men's 60 M with a 6.96. Preston Baker followed in 23rd with a 7.18, Bruce White finished 25th with a 7.22, and Jordan Atkins finished 26th with a 7.23.

Laila Cleare placed 7th in the women's 60 M with a 7.69. Kendelle McCoy placed 8th with a 7.71, Sierra Temple placed 10th with a 7.73, Shavantae Roberts finished 11th with a 7.74, Z'Kiah Kuykendall finished 14th with a 7.77, Talayssia Sanders finished 20th with a 7.88, Ayana Harris finished 24th with a 8.00, and Ciara Tucker finished 25th with an 8.01.

Jesse Applewhite finished 12th in the men's 1000 M with a 2:28.34. Niklas Iking followed close behind placing 13th with a 2:28.68, Johnny Cordero finished 20th with a 2:34.53, and Jackson Salsman finished 22nd 2:35.32.

Emma Selph placed 13th in the women's 1000 M with a 3:09.03. Close behind, Jewel Baer finished 14th with a 3:09.12 and Isabel Lynch finished 18th with a 3:15.86.
Bresner Austin placed 6th in the men's 3000 M.

Tristan Lavan finished 9th in the men's 600 M with a time of 1:19.31. Shamal Sullivan finished 17th with a 1:21.77 and Tomas Thompson finished 22nd with a 1:34.29.

Ashlynn Floyd placed 9th in the women's 600 M with a time of 1:45.28.

Jaiden Ventour placed 6th in the men's 300 M with a 34.06. Jordan Johnson placed 10th with a 34.63, Bruce White finished 14th with a 35.18, Tyrone Luckett finished 20th with a 36.14, Emmanuel Olie finished 21st with a36.15, and Wesley Suen finished 22nd with a time of 36.24.

Tyler Rose placed 11th in the women's 300 M with a 39.79. Tamera Rhode finished 14th with a 40.57, Talayssia Sanders finished 17th with a 41.07, Kendelle McCoy finished 18th with a 41.48, Laila Cleare finished 21st with a 42.08, Shavantae Roberts finished 24th with a 42.69, Kayla Scott finished 25th with a 42.70, Ciara Tucker finished 27th with a 44.26, Aubrey Elam finished 29th with a 45.15, and Sierra Temple finished 31st with a 46.94.

In the men's 4x400 M relay, Johnson, Ventour, Lavan, and Paulk placed 4th. In 8th place was Sullivan, Olie, White, and Townsley and placing 12th was Luckett, Gill, Applewhite, and Barker.

In the women's 4x400 M relay, Rhode, Coleman, Rose, and Sanders placed 5th.
 
Field Events
In the women's high jump, Abby McMillin placed 7th with a jump of 1.55m. Jennifer Peake placed 10th with a jump of 1.5m.

Parker Benefield placed 8th in the men's pole fault with a finish of 4.45m.

Malik Beasley finished 5th in the men's weight with a throw of 15.34m.

Taylor Coleman placed 5th in the women's long jump of 5.5m. Jennifer Peake finished 13th with a jump of 5.12m. Natalie Louw finished 15th with a jump of 5.08m.

Kiara Williams placed second in the women's weight with a throw of 14.78m.

Timon Dresselhaus finished 10th in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.85m.

Jalal Taylor placed 4th in the men's triple jump with a jump of 14.04m.
