MEMPHIS, Tenn. _ The University of Central Arkansas track and field teams picked up three golds and a new school record this weekend at the Rhodes College Track and Field Invitational.
Freshman Gracie Hyde set a school record in winning the mile run in a time of 5:02.82. Senior Hannah Noble won the high jump with a height of 5-5.75. Sophomore Taylor Coleman finished second in the triple jump (36-11.50) and fourth in the long jump (17-3.50). Freshman Kayla Scott finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles (15.12), Freshman Zailey Chaffin was eighth in the 400 meters (1:00.34).
On the men's side, senior Julien Jeandree won gold in the 5,000 meters in a time of 14:46.47. Freshman Thomas Hutchison tied for third in the pole vault (14-0), while junior Zachary Jewell was fifth in the 400 meters (50.60) and senior Brock Collins was seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:45.13).
