RESULTS FROM THE 2015 UCA OPEN

Sophia Ramirez-Maciel finished third in the triple jump Saturday

CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas women turned in 27 Top 10 performances this weekend as they hosted the 2015 UCA Open at the Bill Stephens Track and Soccer Complex on the UCA campus.

UCA's top finisher was senior Jean Black, who won the 100 meter hurdlers in a time of 14.52. She was also sixth in the 400 meters (59.15). Junior Sophie Clauss was second in the 3,000 steeplechase in a time of 12:10.22.

Tyaniah Cash finished sixth in the 100 meters (12.33), while Milly Sampson was ninth in the 400 (59.62). Abbie Lina was seventh in the 800 meters (2:22.41) and Brigette Caruthers finsihed eighth (4:56.64) and Helene Sensee ninth (4:58.40) in the 1,500 meters. Abigail Topham finished fourth in the 5,000 meters (18:37.41), followed by Madison Sellars in sixth (19:46.55). Emily Delgado was ninth (20:05.29). UCA's 4x400 relay team finished third (3:59.61).

    Hadley Swanson tied for sixth in the 100 hurdles (15.41) followed by Molly Sampson in eighth (15.53). UCA's 4x100 relay team finished sixth (47.69). Samantha Gibson finished fourth (1.6 meters) and Brooke Wright fifth (1.6 meters) in the high jump, while Sara Calhoun was second in the pole vault (3.2 meters). Abby Eldringhoff finished seventh (3.0 meters). Jasmine Campbell was fourth in the long jump (5.71 meters) and Alex Dorch was 10th (5.25). Sofia Ramirez-Maciel finished third in the triple jump (11.54 meters) and Campbell was sixth (11.09). Shawanna Brockman finished 10th in the shot put (10.91 meters) and ninth in the discus (31.58 meters).

    Anna Kirk was third in the javelin (38.02 meters) and Samantha Gibson finished seventh (29.80).
