AUSTIN, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears had eight athletes compete at the prestigious Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays last weekend at the University of Texas' Mike A. Myers Stadium.

    Freshman Eric Moore finished ninth in the high jump with a jump of 6 foot, 9 inches. Junior Jahleel Lilly finished tied for 10th place in the long jump with a jump of 22-6 1/2. 

    Senior Jonathan Burgess was 15th in the 5K in a time of 14:53.76, the fourth-best time in school history, while freshman Julien Jeandree finished 20th in 15:10.12. The 4x400 relay team of Kelton Ray, Trevon Boyd, Jeremiah Watson and Chance Tanner finished 16th in a time of 3:11.08, the third-best time in UCA history.

    UCA returns to action this weekend at Stephen F. Austin.
