AUSTIN, Texas – The Central Arkansas track and field teams finished day two of the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational meets on Friday. Across both meets, the Bears posted four top-five finishes and broke two school records in Friday's session.
At the Texas Relays,
Zoe Williams set a new school record in the women's 100-meter hurdles event, running a 13.58. The time is also a new NCAA #40 time on the year.
Symone Quiles finished her 100-meter hurdles race in 14.97.
Brenae Allen set a new NCAA #43 time, running an 11.56 in the 100-meter dash, while
Troynelle Miller set an NCAA #54 time with an 11.59.
On the men's side at the Texas Relays,
Byron Holt ran a 14.04 in the 110-meter hurdles event,
Xavier Simpkins ran a 14.29 and
Christian Brown ran a 14.65.
At the Bobcat Invitational,
Sloan Jones set a new Central Arkansas record in the decathlon with 6987 total points, earning a 4
th place finish.
Nathan Uptagrafft was right behind, finishing 5
th with 6907 total points.
In Section A of the men's shot put,
Jaden Schneeberger earned a 5
th place finish with a 17.19-meter (56-04.75) toss, also setting a new NCAA #78 mark.
In Section B of the women's shot put,
Serena Degollado took 5
th place with a 12.85-meter (42-02) mark.
The Bobcat Invitational will resume for Saturday's session at 9 a.m. with Section A of the men's hammer throw. Live results can be found
