Track and Field Travels to Texas for Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational

CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas track and field teams are set to begin two meets in Texas this weekend. The Bears will take part in the 98th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, as well as the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos. 
 
10 Central Arkansas athletes will compete at the Texas Relays across five different events. 
 
Bailee Villavaso will start the meet as the lone competitor for the Bears on Thursday, competing in the pole vault event at 2:30 p.m. Symone Quiles and Zoe Williams will run in qualifying round of the 100-meter hurdles on Friday morning, while Brenae Allen and Troynelle Miller will compete in the qualifying round of the 100-meter dash on Friday morning. 
 
On the men's side, Jeremiah Boudreaux, Christian Brown, Byron Holt and Xavier Simpkins will all compete in the qualifying round of the 110-meter hurdles on Friday morning. Gabriel Torres will also run in the qualifying round of the 100-meter dash on Friday morning. 
 
At the Bobcat Invitational, 37 Bears will compete in 35 different events in the three-day meet. 
 
Women's discus will lead off the meet for the Bears on Thursday at 9 a.m. Eniyah Birdow, Serena Degollado, Sadie Hamby, Jane Musengwa and Joia Perry will compete for Central Arkansas in the event that features 32 competitors. At noon, Madisyn Crandall and Keirstin Moore will start the heptathlon, and will complete four events by the day's end. Zoe Williams will compete in the B section of the 100-meter hurdles at 12:30, and Kylie Coleman will compete in section B of the pole vault at 1 p.m. 
 
For the men, Slaon Jones and Nathan Uptagrafft will begin the men's decathlon with the 100-meter dash at 11 a.m. and will complete five events on Thursday. Clifton McBride will run in section B of the 100-meter dash at 1:50 p.m. Keaton Hansard will run in section B of the 200-meter dash at 4:45 and Jeff King will round the day out with Maximillan Laur in the javelin throw at 6 p.m.
