CONWAY, Ark. – Redshirt freshman Kennady Martindale was selected as United Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week the conference announced Monday.

Martindale had a pivotal role in the win over Austin Peay on Saturday. The Pittsburgh native put up career numbers in the match with career highs in kills with 16, as well as blocks and digs with six each, including two kills and a block in the fifth set.

Martindale ranks second on the team in kills with 58, averaging 2.64 per set, hitting .242.

The Sugar Bears will continue conference play on Thursday at West Georgia with first serve set for 5 p.m.
