EUGENE, Ore. – The Central Arkansas women's 4x100m relay team wrapped up a historic season with an appearance at the NCAA National Championship meet on Thursday. 
 
The Bears' team of Brenae Allen, Raghan Allen, Baleigh Cashion, and Troynelle Miller ran in the first heat of the event, finishing 19^th in the nation with a time of 44.44. 
 
The team became the first women to represent Central Arkansas at the NCAA National meet. They join Eric Moore (2016), Zachary Jewell (2021), and the 2024 men's 4x100m team as the fourth representatives in the program's Division I history. 
 
Central Arkansas head coach, Josey Weaver, said he was proud of his athletes and the way they represented the program. 
 
"This is a huge moment for our women's program at University of Central Arkansas. To have our first women ever qualify for and compete at the NCAA Championships is something our team can take great pride in," Weaver said. "This group helped raise the standard and showed what our program is capable of on the national stage. We view this as a building step, not the finish line. Our goal is always to have individuals competing at the NCAA National Championships."
 
"There is tremendous potential within our women's program," Weaver continued, "and we are excited to continue building toward even greater success."
 
On the year, the 4x100m team earned two first place finishes with a 44.77 finish at the John McDonnell Invitational and a school and conference record at the ASUN Championships with a time of 44.29. The team earned their way into Nationals with a time of 44.57 finish in the West Regional.
