Denver Hamilton as the Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
In Hamilton's start on Saturday, the Bears beat APSU 8-0. Hamilton, a Junior from Red Oak, Oklahoma, threw 7 shutout innings against the Govs. Hamilton only gave up two hits resulting in a 0.0 ERA, he struck out 12 batters and only walked 1 batter. With the win against the Govs, Hamilton now has a 4-0 record on the season with a 2.54 ERA.

Denver Hamilton, "Denver has all the qualities you want in a competitive pitcher; strikes, good stuff, good temp, and the right attitude. He was fun to watch on Saturday. He gives everything he has to his teammates when the ball is in his hand. He is a winner and makes us better. We are all thankful for him".
This week the Bears have a mid-week game at Arkansas Pine Bluff on Tuesday afternoon, first pitch at 3 p.m. On the weekend, the Bears will have an ASUN series at North Alabama; Thursday at 7 p.m., Friday at 3 p.m., and Saturday at 1 p.m.
