CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas tennis team looks to rebound in ASUN play with two key matchups this week, hosting Bellarmine on Thursday, April 4, at 11:30 a.m. at Burns Park Indoor Tennis Facility before traveling to Clarksville, Tennessee, to face Austin Peay on Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m.
The Bears (8-11, 1-4 ASUN) will look to build on their recent success against Bellarmine (3-18, 1-7 ASUN), having secured a dominant 6-1 road victory over the Knights on March 30, 2024. UCA is 3-0 all-time against Bellarmine and will aim to keep that streak alive against a team that remains winless on the road this season (0-9).
However, UCA will be seeking redemption when it faces Austin Peay (7-11, 3-3 ASUN) on Sunday. The Governors handed the Bears a tough 7-0 loss on March 28, 2024 in Conway, and UCA will be looking to bounce back in the rematch. Austin Peay enters the weekend on a three-match winning streak and holds a 4-5 record at home, while the Bears have been solid on the road at 6-3.
First serve against Bellarmine is set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Burns Park Indoor Tennis Facility in North Little Rock, while Saturday's match against Austin Peay begins at 11 a.m. in Clarksville, Tennessee.
