CONWAY, Ark. – It's awards season for the Central Arkansas tennis team, and the Bears claimed one of the six spots on the Academic All-ASUN Team.
Vichitraporn Vimuktananda earned a spot on the list after performing well on both the court and in the classroom.
Vimuktananda, a General Business major, holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as a junior, exemplifying what it means to balance being a Division I athlete while still taking care of the academic expectations. Her honor marks just the second such award for the Bears since joining the ASUN in 2021.
On the court, the Thailand native played nearly every match on the first court, both in singles and doubles. She posted a 13-6 record in singles, and a 13-3 record in doubles, playing primarily with
Konomi Miyakawa. Her 26 wins across courts led the Bears, and were among the most wins in the conference.
