Tahlequah, Okla. – The Central Arkansas Bears tennis teams dominated Northeastern State in a doubleheader on Sunday, securing impressive 4-0 and 7-0 victories at the NSU Tennis Courts. The Bears were in top form, taking charge early in both matches and completing decisive wins.

Match 1: Central Arkansas 4, Northeastern State 0

The first match of the day saw the Bears winning all their singles and doubles contests in dominant fashion. 

In doubles play, Konomi Miyakawa and V. Vimuktananda led the way for UCA, securing a 6-4 victory in their No. 1 doubles match against Tegan Heaton and Adel Ismagulova of NSU. The Bears also showed their strength in No. 3 doubles as Ting-An Chen and Harune Shigemasu rolled to a 6-2 win over Lucia Bontempo and Camila de Michele. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished due to the Bears' strong lead.

In singles, Vimuktananda delivered a commanding 6-2, 6-3 win over Tegan Heaton in the No. 1 spot, while Konomi Miyakawa was equally dominant, finishing off Sofia Kotliarova 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Ting-An Chen completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Lucia Bontempo at No. 4 singles.

Match 2: Central Arkansas 7, Northeastern State 0

The second match of the day saw the Bears extend their dominance, finishing with a clean 7-0 sweep.

In doubles, UCA continued their strong performances with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. **Nanoka Kazama** and Harune Shigemasu cruised to a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Vimuktananda and Miyakawa followed suit with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles. The No. 3 doubles contest was closely contested, but NSU edged out the Bears with a 7-6 win.

The singles matches were just as dominant for UCA, with all six players recording straight-set victories. Vimuktananda defeated Adel Ismagulova 6-4, 6-0 at No. 1, while Kazama** won 7-5, 7-5 against Sofia Kotliarova at No. 2. At No. 3, Shigemasu bested Annika Kleinhans 6-3, 7-5, and Chen handled Barbora Havlova with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. Seohyun Park added a 6-1, 6-0 win over Camila de Michele at No. 5, and Fukushima completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6.
