NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to the University of Oklahoma for the Sooner Invitational.

Day two starts at 9:00 a.m. with the women's Javelin throw. Running events start at 1:00 p.m.

Breaking the UCA record previously held by him, Aidan Patton placed ninth in the men's Hammer Throw with a personal record throw of 54.92m (180-2.0).

In the women's Hammer Throw, Miranda Nichols placed 14^th with a personal record throw of 38.30m (125-8.0).
In the men's Javelin, Luke Stringer placed seventh with a personal record throw of 49.27m (161-7.0).
In the women's Shot Put, Kiara Williams finished 18^th with a throw of 12.87m (42-2.75). Miranda Nichols finished 19^th with a throw of 12.69m (41-7.75).

In the women's Long Jump, Natalie Louw finished 14^th with a personal record jump of 5.62m (18-5.25).
Parker Benefield placed fourth in the men's Pole Vault with a jump of 4.60m (15-1.0).
In the men's Shot Put, Aidan Patton placed fifth with a personal record throw of 16.31m (53-6.25). Luke Stringer finished 17^th with a throw of 12.73m (41-9.25).
 
Track Events
Ayana Harris placed first in the women's 100m hurdles prelims with a time of 14.02. Kayla Scott placed fourth with a personal record time of 14.55.
In the men's 110m Hurdles, Preston Barker placed eighth with a qualifying time of 15.51.
In the women's 100m prelims, Z'Kiah Kuykendall finished 11^th with a personal record time of 12.08. Kendelle McCoy finished 14^th with a 12.143, Ciara Tucker finished 15^th with a 12.148, and Indiyah Aldridge finished 21^st with a time of 12.894.
In the men's 100m prelims, Wesley Suen finished 18^th with a time of 10.68. TyJuan Huffman finished 29^th with a 10.87.
