CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas tennis program picked up two big wins on the weekend over in-state opponent Harding.
On a picture-perfect Sunday afternoon, the Bears, now 2-3 on the campaign, showed their best performances of the year so far. While the Bisons took two of three doubles in the first match, the Bears put together a dominant performance in singles play. Jaeun Lee kept the momentum from last week, dominating the first match, and then winning an absolute battle in the afternoon match.
The second match saw more success during the doubles section, with the Bears taking two of three thanks to the pairing of Sumomo Hamanaga and Nanoka Kazama as well as the freshman pair of Vichitraporn Vimuktananda and Ting-An Chen. UCA continued the hot start by taking all six singles matches. The complete performance is a great sign as they head on the road next week.
