LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Track and Field teams traveled to Liberty University for the 2023 ASUN Indoor Conference Championships.

After day two of competition the Bears have broke another school record, earned 15 top-10 finishes, and set 15 personal records.

The women's 4x400 relay team consisting of Grace Deshotels, Kendelle McCoy, Kamaria Russell, and Kayla Scott broke the school record with a time of 3:48.63.

Field Events
In the women's Shot Put, Kiara Williams finished ninth with a throw of 12.10m (39-8.5). Miranda Nichols finished 15^th with a throw of 10.79m (35-5.0).
In the men's High Jump, Robert Ricks III finished tenth with a jump of 1.77m (5-9.75).
Aidan Patton placed eleventh in the men's Shot Put with a personal record throw of 15.14m (49-8.25). Malik Beasley placed ninth with a throw of 15.13m (49-7.75) and Luke Stringer finished 14^th with a personal record throw of 12.58m (41-3.25).
 
Running Events
In the women's 60m hurdles, Ayana Harris placed fifth with a time of 8.86. Kayla Scott placed sixth with a personal record time of 8.86.
Armonte Paulk placed first in the men's 400m finals with a personal record time of 47.61.
Kendelle McCoy placed first in the 60m finals with a personal record time of 7.54. Kamaria Russell placed fifth with a personal record time of 7.72.
In the men's 60m finals, Kobe Gill placed second with a personal record time of 6.75. Wesley Suen placed fifth with a personal record time of 6.81.
In the women's 200m finals, Kamaria Russell placed third with a personal record time of 24.35. Kendelle McCoy placed fourth with a personal record time of 24.45.
In the women's 3000m, Emma Selph finished 33^rd with a personal record time of 10:19.81. Felisa Saheib finished 37^th with a personal record time of 10:21.80 and Ali Nachtigal finished 38^th with a 10:21.86.
In the men's 3000m, Gavin Frick finished 27^th with a time of 8:37.48. Thomas Cain finished 29^th with a time of 8:39.98, Hunter Henderson finished 38^th with a personal record time of 8:48.89, Parker Jackson finished 40^th with an 8:54.76, and Carlos Hernandez finished 41^st with a personal record time of 8:57.07. Bresner Austin finished 42^nd with a personal record time of 9:00.41 and Christian Tamura finished 44^th with a 9:08.76.
In the women's 4x400 relay, the UCA team consisting of Grace Deshotels, Kendelle McCoy, Kamaria Russell, and Kayla Scott placed fourth with a time of 3:48.63.
In the men's 4x400 relay, the UCA team consisting of Preston Barker, Kobe Gill, Jordan Johnson, and Tyrone Luckett placed second with a time of 3:14.07.

"We learned a lot about ourselves today as a team. I'm excited about where our program is heading and for the trust that our athletes have placed in this team. I believe we have a lot of pieces here that we need in order to win a championship. It's now our job to find a few missing pieces to go along with them.
As far as results from today, I am proud of the effort and pride our team showed throughout the past two days. We will never be satisfied until we are bringing home a championship trophy to UCA, but I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead as we continue to climb toward the top of the ASUN Conference."
