WALKER NAMED TO TWO ALL-AMERICA TEAMS



CONWAY, Ark. _ University of Central Arkansas defensive end David Walker has been recently named to two FCS All-America teams, including the Associated Press (AP) FCS All-America team and the FCS Football Central All-America team.

Walker, a 6-foot-2, 260-pound junior from Stuttgart, Ark., was named the ASUN Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season, and added the UAC award this year.

Walker led the UAC in tackles for loss and sacks with 18.0 and 8.5, respectively. He was eighth in the nation at the FCS level in tackles for loss and 20th in the nation in sacks. Walker finished the season with 57 total tackles, including 33 solo stops. He broke the school record for single-game tackles for loss with 6.5 against Tarleton State, a game in which he had a season-high 13 tackles.

Walker was a six-time All-American a year ago as a sophomore and a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award. He was also on the Buchanan Watch lit this season.
