CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are hosting the UCA Bear XC Invitational this coming Saturday, September 10^th. This meet will take place at Beaverfork Lake in Conway.
 
The women's race starts at 8:45 a.m. and the men's race will follow with a starting time of 9:20 a.m. The races will consist of two 2.5k loops on a mostly grass field with a few dirt sections.
 
The UCA Bear XC Invitational is part of the Governor's I-40 Showdown with Little Rock. Points earned by each team will determine the winner for this event. UCA is currently leading with a 5-2 lead.

"We are excited to be racing at our home invitational. It's always an exciting feeling to defend your home turf. We should have a large fan base coming out to cheer on our team. This is another step we are planning to take to build toward the conference and regional championships."
