CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Cross Country teams raced on their home turf today earning 20 personal records for both teams. Sara Steimel led the women's team with a second-place finish and Julian Haessner led the men's team with a first-place finish.

Women's Results
Setting a personal record, Sara Steimel placed second with a time of 17:42.3. Following close behind, Anna Bommes set a personal record by finishing fourth with a time of 18:04.1, Sequoya Prentice finished fifth with a personal record time of 18:14.5, and Emma Selph finished sixth with a personal record time of 18:17.9.
Ali Nachtigal finished 10^th with a personal record time of 18:36.3, Zadie St. Louis had a personal record time of 19:08.2 placing 12^th, Kennedy Timmerman placed 14^th with a time of 19:21.0, and Jewel Baer had a personal record time of 19:45.9 to finish 15^th. With a personal record time of 20:08.2, Esperanza Trejo finished 19^th, Isabel Lynch finished 25^th with a personal record time of 21:52.4, and close behind with a time of 21:54.4, Anna Jeffcoat finished 25^th.
 
Men's Results
Julian Haessner finished first with a personal record time of 14:28.1 and Philipp Haessner finished close behind in second with a personal record time of 14:29.3. Jared Touart placed third with a personal record time of 14:35.4, Parker Jackson placed sixth with a personal record time of 14:53.6, Christian Tamura finished 10^th with a personal record time of 15:18.4, and Thomas Cain finished 11^th with a personal record time of 15:27.1.
Finishing 17^th, Johnny Cordero had a personal record time of 15:54.1, Beau Melancon finished 18^th with a personal record time of 15:56.4, and River Hill finished 20^th with a 16:03.0. Bresner Austin finished 25^th with a personal record time of 16:26.7, Hayden Boyett had a personal record time of 16:45.1 to finish 30^th, and Tomas Thompson finished 32^nd with a personal record time of 17:07.0.

"We were excited to have a great turnout for our home cross country meet. Both the men and women's teams defended our home turf well. It is always a great day when can come away with both team titles as well as both individual titles. I am really happy about how our team raced for one another today. We plan to get back to work as we as we have a good stretch before out next race in Fayetteville."
