CONWAY, Ark. - With two victories in the ASUN on the current road trip, the Central Arkansas tennis program hopes to make it three as they continue on their first ASUN tour east.
The Bears (10-6, ASUN 2-0) are ready for another challenge this week, as they hope to continue their recent string of success as they face off against the Lions of North Alabama (2-13, ASUN 0-2).
So far in the ASUN conference slate, UCA has made major strides as they are currently 2-0 with wins against Lipscomb and Jacksonville State. The Bears will have another chance to continue on their short-lived undefeated streak as they face a UNA squad that has yet to claim a match in conference play. The Lions were outscored 9-5 against Lipscomb and JSU, while UCA outscored these same opponents 12-2. However, one player to watch for the Lions is Kalais Going. Going is 2-0 in conference singles play from the No. 4 position and will make a quality opponent for freshman Sumomo Hamanaga. Hamanaga is also 2-0 in conference singles play on the season. The battle of the two undefeated will be the match to watch as these two squads face off in Florence, Ala. This ASUN matchup will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow on the Lions' home courts.
