Women's Soccer Announces Summer Camps

CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas women's soccer team announces its slate of summer camps, as the team hosts three camps throughout the summer months. With one in June and two running concurrently in July, registration for all camps has officially opened.

The first camp of the summer is the 2022 Day Camp. Hosted from June 6-9 from 9-11 a.m. each day, the camp is put on for girls ages 4-9. The Day Camp is designed to introduce campers to basic soccer techniques through a "Games and Activities" approach to learning while having fun. This creates an environment that develops creativity and problem-solving skills that brings out the game within each child. Dribbling, passing, shooting and heading will be techniques covered, while exposing them to tactical decisions through small-sided play. The camp costs $70 per camper, with a discount for registering before May 1.

Camps two and three are the same camp, running on the same dates, split up by age group. The camp runs from July 16-19, and are designed for soccer players and teams that are looking to take the next step toward collegiate soccer.

The Junior Residential Academy is for girls entering 5th-8th grades. Whether the athlete is aiming for a club, high school or collegiate playing career, the Girl's Junior Academy will help her realize her goals. A specifically designed curriculum will emphasize the development of the individual player. A daily schedule of individual, small group and team instruction will feature the best and most effective training techniques available. Evening games will provide the opportunity to apply what has been taught throughout the day.

Teams are encouraged to attend camp as well, simply list the club or high school team in the provided space and training will be curtailed for the team (other campers may be trained within your group depending on age group numbers and abilities). The camp costs $370 for overnight campers and $310 for commuting campers. Like the Day Camp, a discount is applicable for those that register before May 1.

The Senior Residential Academy is for those players entering 9th-12th grade. This part of the camp will feature a more intense and physically demanding week of instruction for the player looking to be evaluated and trained like a college soccer player. The UCA coaching staff and other college coaches will be the instructors for the Girl's Senior Academy. As always current and former UCA players will assist the staff coaches all week long in making for a great week of learning.

Camp tuition for the senior camp is $410 for overnight campers and $350 for commuter campers. Register before May 1 to receive a discount.
