CONWAY, Ark. - UCA Tennis (7-6) gets its chance to make their ASUN debut as they battle Lipscomb (4-7) tomorrow morning.
The Bears are ready for the task at hand as they head to Nashville to take on the Bisons tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Central Arkansas will hope to overcome their last match to get back in the winning category, as they start off a new era in the tennis program. In their last matchup, they came home but left disappointed as they fell just short against the ULM Warhawks 4-3. The Bears will need to improve from that outing as the ASUN hosts a wide variety of opponents, all with the ability to compete on any given day. UCA will start that venture as they battle with Lipscomb's Bisons on their home court. These two faced off earlier in the year at the Samford Invitational in an unofficial dual, where UCA claimed the final score 5-4. The Bears hosted singles winners in that match, with sophomore Fuka Nonoyama, senior Yada Vasupongchia, sophomore Maja Gledic, and junior Mei Ishimura. UCA continued to focus on duos play on the doubles side as they swept the Bison 4-0. These factors will play a crucial role in starting the conference season off right and riding the wave for the rest of the year.
