CONWAY, AR – The University of Central Arkansas Bears Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are in the last stretch of their seasons and with that comes end of season awards. While being an athlete, these runners are also students and many showed academic success throughout the season.

For the 2022 Fall season, two athletes earned a spot on the ASUN Conference All-Academic Team.

With his second selection for the team, Julian Haessner earned the number one spot on the list with a 4.0 GPA while earning his MBA. He was also named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Philipp Haessner earned the number two spot on the list with a 4.0 GPA while earning his MBA.

Maintaining grades and excelling in a sport takes dedication and hard work. The men's and women's teams have both accomplished that feat. Congratulations to our athletes!

"I'm not surprised at all by Julian and Philipp earning all-academic honors. They work every bit as hard in the classroom as they do on the track. It's been a privilege to coach them and watch them work toward their goals for this year. They will leave bit foot prints for others to follow for years to come."
