CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears are taking a short trip to Little Rock for the Little Rock Meet on Saturday, Oct. 16^th. Part of the team ran their race at Pre Nationals on Friday, the 15^th, splitting the team for this weekend. The men will be racing at 10:15 A.M. and the women will be racing at 11 A.M.
 
For the men's team, Jesse Applewhite, Bresner Austin, Brett Borchert, Johnny Cordero, Philipp Haessner, Julian Haessner, Hunter Henderson, River Hill, Niklas Iking, William Ryan-Johnson, Jackson Salsman, Simon Schneider, Camden Shaw, Tomas Thompson, and Jared Touart will be running.

For the women's team, Jewel Baer, Bekah Bostian, Ashlyn Floyd, Anna Jeffcoat, Isabel Lynch, Sarah Grace Meek, Tamara Reeves, and Kennedy Timmerman will be running.

"This is the first time this year that we are splitting the teams and sending a handful to Pre Nationals and a group to UALR. Splitting always is mentally tough but it also has some great benefits as well. At Pre Nationals we will obviously match up with some good teams and both the men's and women's teams made the fast section races. The UALR course is challenging so everyone is going to be tested. These races will be the last bit of prep before the ASUN championships so we are definitely looking to see how good we can perform."

The Bears will take on the best runners in our conference at their next meet at the ASUN Conference Championships in Orlando, Fla. on Oct. 30^th.
