UCA MEN 10TH AT NCAA SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONALS


    COLLEGE STATION, Texas _ The University of Central Arkansas men's cross country team finished 10th Friday at the NCAA South Central Regional at Texas A&M's Dale Watts Cross Country Course.

    UCA's lone women's entry, freshman Gracie Hyde of Benton, Ark., finished 44th overall.

    For the UCA men, senior Julien Jeandree of Altenburg, Germany, finished 45th out of 168 runners, covering the 10K course in 33:18.9. Sophomore Jared Hamilton of Grand Prairie, Texas, finished 46th in 33:22.7, followed by senior Markus Schweikert of Spay, Germany, in 48th (33:28.1). Sophomore Alex Hanson of Thatcham, England, finished 64th (33:40.6), senior Brock Collins of Forney, Texas, was 69th (33:46.9), Jaron Hamilton of Grand Prairie was 83rd (34:15.0) and freshman Hunter Henderson of Tecumseh, Kansas, was 103rd (34:47.9).

    Hyde, the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year after her seventh-place finish at the SLC Championships, covered the 6K women's course in 22:07.9 to finish 44th among the 154 competitors.
