WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO TCU

Fort Worth, Texas –

The Central Arkansas women's soccer team traveled to Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday to face off with Texas Christian University. The Horned Frogs used a hat trick from Michelle Prokof to pick up the 3-0 victory.

Prokof got her first goal of the game in the 24th minute, collecting a pass from Makenzie Koch and tapping it in. She scored again in the 25th minute, scoring off of a corner kick from Koch. Prokof capped the scoring in the 53rd minute, fielding a pass from Patry Carrion and putting it away for the 3-0 lead.

Shelby Wilson was the only Central Arkansas (3-3-2) to attempt multiple shots on Sunday, placing one of her two attempts on goal. Emma Reed and Chele Naudin each had a shot on goal. Prokof led the way offensively for the Horned Frogs (4-4-2), placing four of her five shots on target. Kaitlyn Keith was in goal for the first half for Central Arkansas, making four saves and allowing two goals, while Lyndzey Goff made one save and allowed a goal in the second half. Vittoria Arnold made three saves in goal for TCU.

Central Arkansas opens Southland Conference play next weekend, playing host to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 7:00 Friday evening. They then travel to Natchitoches, Louisiana to face off with Northwestern State at 1:00 Sunday afternoon.
