The Central Arkansas women's soccer team is preparing not only for their final two regular season games of the year this weekend, but also to honor the achievements of their senior class. Prior to Friday night's game against Lamar, the Bears will celebrate the careers of keeper Lyndzey Goff, defenders Maddi Poteet, Emma Reed, Sarah Correll, Hailey Haynes, and Alexa Herbers, midfielders Abby Hodgson, Kristin Pollard, and Grace Purtle, and forwards Adriana Lucar and Hayley Montgomery.
Goff, from Glenpool, Oklahoma, has played in double-digit matches in each of her three seasons at Central Arkansas. She ranks in the top ten in school history in saves, save percentage, goals against average, wins, shutouts, starts in net, and minutes in net. This season, she has appeared in 13 games, making 45 saves and recording a goals against average of 1.77 and one shutout.
Poteet, a North Richland Hills, Texas native, has played in 55 games in her Central Arkansas career. She's scored four goals and three assists. This season, she has appeared in 17 games for the Bears, playing 884 minutes.
Reed, from Keller, Texas, has played in 71 games for the Bears, ranking third all time. She also ranks number two in minutes played, playing 5,012 minutes. This season, she has started all 18 of the Bears' matches this season, contributing to four shutouts.
Correll, a Fayetteville, Arkansas native, has played in 53 matches in her career, recording a goal and five assists. She has appeared in 17 games for the Bears this season, playing 701 minutes.
Haynes, who hails from, Claremore, Oklahoma, has appeared in 34 games in her career with the Bears, recording one assist.
Herbers, from Mandeville, Louisiana, has appeared in every game the Bears have played in her four years in Conway, playing the most minutes in school history and starting the second most games. This year, she has played 1,614 minutes, the fifth most in a season in UCA history.
Hodgson, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, has appeared in 69 games for Central Arkansas, scoring two goals and assisting on six more. She has appeared in 15 games this season, playing 555 minutes.
Pollard, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has played in 70 games in her career. She ranks in the top ten in school history in points, goals, and assists. The season, Pollard has appeared in 17 games, scoring three goals and recording an assist.
Purtle, a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas, has played in 46 matches for the Bears, recording two goals and three assists. This season, she's played in eight matches, appearing for 118 minutes.
Lucar, a Lima, Peru native that has been at Central Arkansas for two seasons, has appeared in 36 games, scoring 23 goals and assisting on five more. She ranks in the top ten in school history in nine career categories and six single season categories. A member of the 2012 All-Southland Conference first team, Lucar has started all 18 games for the Bears, scoring nine goals and recording three assists.
Montgomery, from Benton, Arkansas, has played 43 games in her career, recording two assists. This season, she has appeared in 17 games, recording an assist.
Central Arkansas, who is still looking to lock down a place in this year's Southland Conference Tournament, will honor these seniors prior to Friday night's match against Lamar. The match is set to begin at 7:00 pm. The Bears will then wrap up the regular season by playing host to McNeese State at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
