NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The University of Central Arkansas tennis team lost to Stephen F. Austin 6-1 in Southland Conference action on Sunday. The Ladyjacks improve to 18-3 overall and 6-3 in league while the Sugar Bears fall to 1-15 and 0-9.
SFA won the doubles point by taking number one and number two matches 8-1. UCA senior Alex Rios and freshman Sasha Ruocco won number three singles by default.
Rios picked up UCA's only point by sweeping Kaiulani Rarangol 6-0, 6-0 in number six singles. Senior Kati Andersen fell to Andreea Enica 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) in number four singles.
The Sugar Bears will face McNeese State in Lake Charles, La. on Sautrday.
