CONWAY, Ark. - University of Central Arkansas men's soccer player Regis Mawire was named to the ESPN/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team. Mawire, a junior midfielder from Harare, Zimbabwe was selected to the team along with other student-athletes from schools in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Mawire has compiled a 3.93 grade point average in Health Education. This season he has appeared in 11 games and made six starts and was named to the Oregon State Hensor/Zaher Nike Classic All-Tournament Team.
Mawire and the Bears will play their final game of the season at Evansville on Saturday.
