CONWAY, Ark. – After a stellar week between the pipes,
Hanna Hargrave has been named the UAC Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
The senior goaltender earned her second shutout of the season against UT Martin on Sunday, blanking the Skyhawks to move the Bears to 2-3-1 on the season. Hargrave made a key save early in the match to keep UT Martin from getting off to a fast start, and then had a relatively easy night from a stats perspective, needing just the one save in the win. From there, her communication with the back line was instrumental, deflecting numerous attacks and corner kicks as the Bears claimed the win at home.
Hargrave's shutout over UT Martin was the second clean sheet on the year, having also secured one against Alabama State. The Louisville native holds a 0.70 goals allowed average through three contests so far this season.
The Bears are back at home on Thursday, hosting the Nevada Wolfpack at the Bill Stephens Track and Soccer Complex. Kickoff against the Wolfpack is set for 7 p.m.
