CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's soccer team is back on the road for the next one, heading up to Springfield, Missouri to face the Missouri State Bears on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
 
The Bears (1-2-1) picked up their first win of the season in grand style Thursday evening, dominating Alabama State 7-0 at home. The match featured five scorers, including two-goal games from Megan Moudy and Caroline Billings, and gave goalkeeper Hanna Hargrave her first shutout of the season. Jama Akpanudo continued to contribute to scoring as well, recording a goal and two assists against the Lady Hornets. Akpanudo has now contributed to five goals over the last two games, with two goals and three assists in the last two matches.
 
Hopefully, the offensive explosion carries over, or at least builds confidence in the Bears. Up next is a Missouri State team that has had Central Arkansas's number over the last several years.
 
This season's Missouri State team is 1-2-1 in the early goings, most recently drawing against SEMO. The Bears have losses against No. 15 Kansas and Kansas State, but did earn a 1-0 win over Missouri with an 85^th minute score.
 
Offense has largely eluded Missouri State this season, albeit with a strong schedule thus far in the year. The score against Missouri is the only goal of the year for the Bears, with the team only putting up 20 shots through four matches.
