Conway, Ark.- The United Athletic Conference announces Sam Norman as the Men's Golfer of the Week. The Bears played in The Sandestin Collegiate Classic at The Raven GC in Florida, September 14^th-16^th. The Bears finished in 3rd place with a score of -1, making 195 pars- the most by any team in the field, 36 birdies and 1 eagle. Mercer and West Florida tied at the top of the standings shooting -2.

Sam Norman got the Bears out of the gate in Round 1 shooting -4, the best individual round for the Bears in this event. Overall, Norman shot -1 for the tournament, he and teammate Blane Burk led the Bears. Norman finishing in 13^th place overall, 6^th overall on par 4s with a 3.9 scoring average and had a 4.89 scoring average on par 5s. For the event, Norman made 38 pars, 7 birdies and 1 eagle. R1: -4, R2: +1, R3: +2.
