Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (15-17, 5-7) will play a mid-week game against the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions (15-19, 8-4) at The Bear in Conway, Ark. First pitch on Tuesday, April 7th will be at 6:00 p.m. The Bears and Golden Lions played last Tuesday in Pine Bluff where the Golden Lions won 3-13. This was the first win for the Golden Lions in the last 14 match-ups with the Bears. These two teams will play one more time later this season in Conway on April 22^nd.

Last weekend the Bears went on the road for an ASUN series at North Alabama in Florence. The Lions won game one by one run, the Bears won game two in eleven innings by two runs and the Lions won game three 16-9. In the Bears win, Zeb Allen hit his 11^th home run of the season putting him at 24 career home runs which is tied for the most career home runs in UCA program history. The Bears also had a great performance by the pitching staff in game two. Denver Hamilton started the game going 4 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs while striking out 4 batters and not walking any batters. Silas Cowgill threw 2 innings without giving up any runs or walks and striking out 1 batter. Then Hunter Alexander came in and pitched 5 innings to close out the game and earned the win, striking out 5 batters and not giving up any runs. Overall this season, the Bears are batting .249 with 261 hits and a .396 slg% while their opponents are batting .279 with 302 hits and a .446 slg%.

The Golden Lions are coming off a three-game series at Alabama State, UAPB lost the first two games of the series before winning game three.
