Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (23-19, 10-8) and the Bellarmine Knights (17-23, 9-9) will play a three-game ASUN series in Louisville, Kentucky at Knights Field this weekend. First pitch on Friday is set for 2 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. The Bears and Knights will play for the 22
nd time when they meet on Friday. Overall, UCA has a 16-5 lead in the all-time series. Earlier this season these two teams played a three-game series in Conway. UCA won the series 2-1. Currently, the Bears are in a tie for 2
nd place in the ASUN Gold Division with Austin Peay and Lipscomb while Bellarmine is in 5
th place, the top four teams from each ASUN division will be invited to the ASUN Championship.
Earlier this week the Bears played two middle week games playing at Arkansas State and hosting UAPB. The Bears went 1-1 in those games and has won eight of their last ten games. The Bears started out well against the Red Wolves but in the bottom of the 4
th inning the game got away from them, ultimately losing 20-10. Against the Golden Lions, the Bears had a lead most of the game but with the score tied in the bottom of the 9
th,

Zeb Allen hit another home run extending the UCA career home run record to 27 and tying him at the top of the single season home run record with 14. In ASUN games this season, the Bears are batting .274 with 164 hits and a .466 slg% and their ASUN opponents are batting .280 with 168 hits and a .463 slg%.
The Knights are coming off of a midweek road win over the University of Dayton, 8-6 but have lost four of their last five games getting swept by Austin Peay last weekend and losing to Morehead State in midweek action last week. Landon Akers is leading the team in several offensive statistics with a .381 average, 64 hits and 11 stolen bases. In ASUN games this season, the Knights are batting .311 with 194 hits and a .498 slg% and their ASUN opponents are batting .312 with 195 hits and a .531 slg%.
First pitch at Bellarmine on for Friday is set for 2 p.m. CT, Saturday's game also at 2 p.m. and Sunday is 12 p.m. All three games will have radio broadcast on The Bear 91.3, Friday and Sunday's games will be broadcast on ESPN+ or you can follow live stats online.
