Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (18-18, 7-8) will play a mid-week game at the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles (20-13, 11-1) at Chapman Park in Tulsa, Okla. First pitch on Tuesday, April 14th will be at 6:00 p.m. The Bears and Golden Eagles already played once this season in Conway on March 10
th, the Bears won that match up 8-7 but ORU leads the all-time series 13-4. In the game earlier this season, the Bears scored six runs in the 2
nd inning while ORU scored five in the 4
th.
Zeb Allen hit a home run and
Nate Negre had 2 rbi. Seven pitchers made an appearance in the game for the Bears scattering 9 hits and striking out 12 Golden Eagles.
Last weekend the Bears went on the road for an ASUN series at Lipscomb in Nashville, Tenn. The Bears won games one and two outscoring the Bisons 22-11. But the Bisons got game three, 5-6.
Zeb Allen became UCA's career home run leader when he hit his 25
th career home run in game 2.
Nate Negre had a big weekend with 8 hits (4-4 in game 1), 4 rbi, 3 doubles and scored 4 runs. On the mound,

Hunter Alexander picked up his 6
th save of the season going 3 innings striking out 6 batters.
Jake Jones got the win in game 2 going 6 innings giving up 1 run and striking out 5. Overall this season, the Bears are batting .253 with 301 hits and a .402 slg% while their opponents are batting .280 with 341 hits and a .439 slg%.

The Golden Eagles have won six of their last seven games including a series sweep over Northern Colorado, a win at Oklahoma State and getting two out of three at Omaha last weekend. The only loss in Omaha was in 12 innings on Sunday. The Golden Eagles have a commanding lead in the Summit League with their 11-1 record, Omaha is in second at 7-5. Overall, the Golden Eagles are batting .261 with 289 hits and a .376 slg% while their opponents are batting .242 with 262 hits and a .403 slg%.
