Conway, Ark.- The Central Arkansas Bears (11-9, 1-2) will play a mid-week game at the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (13-9, 3-0) at J.C. Love Field in Ruston, La. First pitch on Tuesday, March 17th will be at 6:00 p.m. The Bears and Bulldogs have played each other five times; all five games took place in 2008 and 2010. The Bulldogs lead the series 3-2, one of the five games took place in Conway while the other four were played in Ruston.

The Bears have won their last two mid-week match-ups beating Vanderbilt on the road two weeks ago and ORU at home last week. This past weekend the Bears played their ASUN opening series at EKU, the Bears won game won but the Colonels got games two and three. Zeb Allen continues to lead the Bears on offense. Allen is batting .358 with 29 hits, 22 runs scored, 7 home runs, 21 rbi, a .642 slg% and is 8-8 on stolen base attempts. Overall, the Bears are batting .265 with 176 hits and a .406 slg% while their opponents are batting .275 with 185 hits and a .409 slg%.

The Bulldogs also started their Conference season last weekend sweeping Delaware. The Bulldogs scored 31 runs in the three-game series and allowed just 7 runs. Colby Lunsford is leading the Bulldogs in several offensive categories. Lunsford has a .342 batting average, 22 runs scored, 9 doubles, and is slugging .712. He also has 25 hits, 6 home runs and 17 rbi on the season. Overall, the Bulldogs are batting .274 with 182 hits and a .468 slg% while their opponents are batting .246 with 164 hits and a .366 slg%.
