CONWAY, Ark. — Central Arkansas (16-10, 11-2 ASUN) secured an 84-76 victory over Bellarmine (11-14, 6-7 ASUN) on Wednesday night at the Farris Center. These two teams played a month ago in Kentucky with Bellarmine coming out on top in overtime. But tonight, the Bears capitalized on turnovers, converting 21 points off the Knights' 16 turnovers. This victory marked the Bears' ninth consecutive win, placing them in second place in the ASUN standings, two wins ahead of third place.
Central Arkansas and Bellarmine engaged in a tightly contested first half, with the Knights edging out the Bears 34-33 at the end of the half. Bellarmine's Kenyon Goodin was instrumental, hitting multiple 3-pointers, including one at the 5:31 mark, to help his team maintain a slight lead. Ty Robinson's fast-break 3-pointer at 2:23, which momentarily put them ahead. However, Bellarmine regained the lead in the final minute with two free throws from Brian Waddell, securing a narrow advantage going into the break.
