Previous to Central Arkansas: Byrne attended Berwick College where he averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Byrne was a three-time high school national champion while representing the state of Victoria. He was also a two-time medalist in golf and was an NBL1 selection at the age of 17.

2025-2026: Played in all 34 games as a freshman… Totaled 137 points, 102 rebounds and 67 assists, shooting 46-for-113 from the field, 29-for-84 on 3-pointers and 16-for-18 at the line… Grabbed a season-high 8 rebounds in two games: vs. Champion Christian on Nov. 8 and vs. Kansas Christian on Dec. 17 (season-best 5 offensive rebounds)… Blocked a season-high 2 shots vs. Eastern Washington on Nov. 23… Collected a season-high 6 defensive rebounds in two games: vs. Little Rock on Dec. 3 and vs. West Georgia on Feb. 14… Scored a season-high 12 points with a season-best 4 3-pointers (4-for-8) at West Georgia on Jan. 22… Dished a season-high 8 assists vs. Queens on Jan. 28
