JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Central Arkansas Track & Field extended its grip on the 2025 ASUN Outdoor Championships after another dominant showing on Day 2, leading both the men's and women's team standings heading into the final day.
The men's team piled up points across the board and now holds a commanding 68-point lead with 109.5 points through eight events. UCA made a statement in the Hammer Throw, sweeping the podium behind Malik Beasley (62.56m), Treavor Green (62.01m), and Jaden Schneeberger (61.29m). They repeated that feat in the Shot Put, where Schneeberger struck gold, followed by Beasley and Aidan Patton. In the Decathlon, Parker Brown took gold with Levi Dugger earning silver.
UCA added silver in the High Jump Trey Haworth and the 3000m Steeplechase Pete Johnson to cap off a high-powered Friday.
On the women's side, the Bears widened their lead to 99 points, nearly doubling up second-place Queens (49). Joia Perry brought home gold in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 62.89m, and Jennifer Peake claimed the Javelin title (43.84m) to add to UCA's medal count. In the Discus, Miranda Nichols took bronze while Karis Martin earned silver in the Long Jump. Madisyn Crandall also earned bronze in the Heptathlon, contributing to UCA's 47-point day.
Championship Saturday begins at 3 PM ET, featuring finals in the Pole Vault, Javelin, 100M Dash, and the highly anticipated 4x400M Relays.
