CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears will open Senior Weekend at 6 p.m. Thursday, hosting the North Alabama Lions in an important ASUN Conference series at Bear Stadium.
The Bears (19-30, 12-15) and Lions (2-29, 13-14) have both already secured their spots in next week's ASUN Championship, but are battling for either the third or fourth seed from the Gold Division.
UNA won two of three games in the earlier series this season, which was played in Birmingham, Ala., due to construction at the Lions' home field. Two of those games went to 10 innings, with UNA winning both. UCA won the middle game of the weekend series.
The No. 3 seed with play the No. 2 seed from the Graphite Division on Tuesday at Stetson's Melching Field in DeLand, Fla. That will be either Jacksonville or Florida Gulf Coast. The No. 4 seed will face the home team and top seed from that division on its home field.
The Bears took a game from the top team in the Gold Division last weekend in Austin Peay, handing the Governors just their fourth home loss of the season. That put the Bears in the postseason tournament for the second consecutive year. UCA won the B Pool a year ago to advance to the semifinals before losing to Kennesaw State.
The Bears will have graduation ceremonies prior to Friday's 6 p.m. game, and Senior Day Activities will proceed Saturday's 1 p.m. first pitch. UCA's graduates include

Jackson Schwank,

Jagger Schattle.
