DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Central Arkansas Men's and Women's Track & Field teams competed in the Drake Relays throughout the week.

The women's team finished in 14^th out of 26 teams. The men's team finished 12^th out of 21 teams.

Breaking the UCA record, Jaden Schneeberger placed fifth in the men's Hammer with a throw of 61.01m (200-2.0).

Breaking the UCA record in the women's 10,000m, Sara Steimel placed seventh with a time of 35:25.95.

The Bears earned 16 top-10 finishes and set eight personal records.

In the women's Heptathlon, Kylie Wright finished 17^th with a score of 3481, earning points in the following events: finished 14^th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.21, finished 14^th in the High Jump with a jump of 1.52m (4-10.5), finished 16^th in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.41m (30-10.5), finished 18^th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.42, finished 17^th in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.85m (15-11.0), and finished 21^st in the Javelin with a throw of 22.53m (73-11.0).

Madisyn Crandall finished 18^th with a score of 3095, earning points in the following events: finished 17^th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.62, finished 21^st in the High Jump with a jump of 1.43m (4-8.25), finished 14^th in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.56m (31-4.5), placed 10^th in the 200m dash with a time of 26.22, and finished 11^th in the Javelin with a throw of 31.77m (104-2.0).

In the men's Shot Put, Aidan Patton finished 21^st with a throw of 15.18m (50-5.5).

Natalie Louw placed fourth in the women's Long Jump with a jump of 5.84m (19-2.0).

Jaden Schneeberger placed fifth in the men's Hammer with a throw of 61.01m (200-2.0). Aidan Patton finished 12^th with a throw of 58.70m (192-7.0).

Davin James placed second in the women's High Jump with a jump of 1.69m (5-6.5). Natalie Louw placed sixth with a jump of 1.65m (5-5.0).

In the women's Hammer Throw, Joia Perry finished 16^th with a throw of 52.97m (173-9.0).

In the men's Javelin throw, Luke Stringer had a throw of 48.60m (159-5.0) to finish 16^th.
 
Track Events
In the women's 800m prelims, Anna Bommes finished 24^th with a time of 2:16.23.

In the men's 800m prelims, Jonathan Heath finished 18^th with a time of 1:55.18.

In the women's 5000m, Madeline Hill finished 12^th with a time of 17:08.83.

In the women's 10,000m, Sara Steimel placed seventh with a time of 35:25.95.

In the men's 110m hurdle prelims, Byron Holt finished 17^th with a time of 14.70.

In the women's 4x100 relay final, the UCA team consisting of Troynelle Miller, Raghan Allen, Ciara Tucker, and Kendelle McCoy placed third with a time of 44.97. In the women's 4x100m relay first round, the UCA team placed third with a time of 45.64.

In the men's 4x100 relay, the UCA team consisting of Wesley Suen, Aaron Webb, Jake Green, and TyJuan Huffman placed fourth with a time of 40.18. In the men's 4x100m relay first round, the UCA team consisting of Wesley Suen, TyJuan Huffman, Jake Green, and Kobe Gill placed fourth with a time of 40.72.

In the women's 400m hurdles, Symone Quiles finished 19^th with a time of 1:03.76.

In the women's 100m dash final, Raghan Allen placed fourth with a time of 11.72.

In the women's 100m first round, Raghan Allen placed sixth with a time of 11.73. Troynelle Miller finished 11^th with a time of 11.82, Kendelle McCoy finished 18^th with a 12.02, and Ciara Tucker finished 20^th with a 12.20.

In the men's 100m dash final, Wesley Suen placed seventh with a time of 10.65.

In the men's 100m first round, Wesley Suen placed sixth with a time of 10.33. Aaron Webb finished 12^th with a time of 10.58.

Armonte Paulk placed sixth in the men's 400m with a time of 47.66.

Jack Dingman placed seventh in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:47.41.

In the women's Distance Medley, the UCA team consisting of Madeline Hill, Sara Steimel, Anna Bommes, and Kayleigh Wagnon finished 12^th with a time of 11:52.72.

In the men's Distance Medley, the UCA team consisting of Jack Dingman, Gavin Frick, Jonathan Heath, and Bresner Austin placed ninth with a time of 10:03.99.

"We had a great experience at the 114^th Annual Drake Relays. Sucha prestigious meet allowing our athletes to take in a side of track and field that you rarely get to experience. We're leaving with personal records and school records. We are better prepared for the ASUN Championships ahead. We hope to see everyone in Conway at the ASUN Championships."
